ERICA JACKSON, CPT
My fitness career started in 1990 when I was a sophomore in high school. I was inspired & motivated by my family’s obesity and unhealthy lifestyles to not make the same decisions and lifestyle choices that they had made. So I started with an old stationary bike, soup cans, water jugs and a marathon of ESPN fitness shows that jump started my love for a healthier lifestyle. My love for fitness led me to share that passion with others who needed guidance, motivation, and instruction toward achieving their fitness goals. In 2006, I obtained my Personal Training certification and have since trained and educated numerous people on the steps and tools to living a healthier and active lifestyle. |

John Gresock, Personal Trainer, Yoga InstructorHow long have you been in the industry? While I have been teaching classes in yoga and stretching for two years, I have just recently (October 2009) received my Personal Trainer Certifications and have begun training clients Certifications and areas of specialty training Certified Personal Trainer – ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) October 2009 Certified Fitness Professional – WITS (World Instructor Training Schools) October 2009 Heartsaver CPR (Adult and Child) – American Heart Association (July 2008 – July 2010) Awards and achievements
Training philosophy “Get off the couch and start running!!” With sedentary lifestyles the norm for most Americans and obesity prevalent throughout this country’s population, now more than ever, it is imperative for individuals to take charge of their own lives by participating in physical activity every day and carefully managing their eating habits. Although I enjoy helping people become better runners or meet other athletic goals, my focus as a Personal Trainer is to help people achieve and maintain healthy lifestyles. Aside from the technical knowledge and skills I can offer as a Personal Trainer, I hope to emphasize the personal aspects of this career by patiently working with individuals to embrace healthy habits and activities that may be second nature to Personal Trainers, but may be extremely difficult for many individuals to accept as their own. One of the special interests I hope to pursue will be working with our ever increasing senior population to improve their abilities in carrying out Daily Life Activities through simple exercise regimes such as stretching, basic yoga, walking and jogging. Personal interests/hobbies Tennis, cycling, hiking. Music, movies, theater and reading. Travelling, cooking and doing volunteer work for local distance races such as the Shamrock Marathon and the Rock N Roll Half Marathon |
